The Everyday

Do you ever feel like you’ve gotten sucked in to the everyday?

I think I have over the last 5 months. But the thing is, I think I love it.

Even though it means I’m out of the house everyday before my Mister and pup pup are even awake.

And even though it means that I come home some nights after everyone’s sitting at dinner.

And even though it means my life isn’t near as exciting as it was this time last year.

I wouldn’t trade it in for everything.

Because right now even though my every day is 100% predictable, it means nights spend with family.

Weekends spent with friends.

Sundays spent teaching the most excellent class of 5-year-old munchkins.

But most importantly, my every day is spent with my two favoritest folks in the world.

Could life get any better? I submit that it can NOT!

So, as far as this blog is now concerned, it’s going to be a celebration of the everyday for awhile.

After all, it’s the everyday that makes us who we are on those exciting days!

Lucy.

My parents have a beautiful dog named Lucy.

Sadly for Lucy, she's an all brown dog. Most pictures of her turn out okay, but not great.

See? It's a good picture. But it's not great.

Want a quick tip for photographing a dark colored dog?

Turn the flash on.

Even if it's an on camera flash, the fur definition is just incredible.

So pretty!

Miss Brooke

Brooke is such a cute little girl! I'm so grateful to be able to work with such beautiful babies :)


While she wasn't the happiest camper when it came to having her photo taken, we really did catch some great shots!

Toby.

My dog's name is Toby.

By all accounts, he's the handsomest dog in existence.

Since I didn't have all that many pictures of my pup, I decided to take him to the Mill in Downtown Roswell. It was such a fun place to shoot!

Jason and Melissa

One of the reasons my freshman year of college was so stinking fun is because of Melissa. We were dorm roomies and definitely made our freshman year worthwhile :) This time last year she up and married Jason- I'm so happy these two asked me to take their anniversary photos! Here's to you!

Brent and Becca

A few weeks ago I had an amazingly fun morning taking some engagement pictures for one of my best friends. Congratulations to Brent and Becca- you two are so perfect for each other!

The highlight of the photoshoot was the definite hilariousness. These two made the session so much fun! I'll spare you from all the silly pictures :)

Brandon and Diana

These two picked an absolutely gorgeous day for a photo shoot! I had so much fun following them around with my camera. As you can tell, they had a lot of fun too :)

LeBaron

Last night I was happily invited to photograph the up and coming band LeBaron at Velour last night (it probably helps that my husband plays rhythm and my brother in-law plays the keys!). Although the lighting was a little challenging with the gear that I brought, I think the pictures turned out pretty great!

Not to mention the night ended with a malt at Sammy's, so it was definitely worth while!

Snow Day

This has been a really dry winter for Utah, but over the weekend my mister and I took the opportunity to go on a drive through the Uintas to catch some real snow.
